The Lebanese government announced on Friday that tomorrow Saturday will be a national day of mourning to honor the victims who were killed in yesterday's bombing in a suburb of south Beirut. The announcement was made by Lebanese outgoing prime minister Najib Mikati in an administrative memorandum issued today marking Jan. 4 as the national mourning day for victims who died in the Haret Hreik bombing. "The terrorists behind the bombing are those who have committed crimes recently in other parts of the country," said Lebanese President Michel Suleiman yesterday. On December 27, a car bomb claimed the life of former Minister Mohammad Shatah in Downtown Beirut.
