Lebanese President Michel Suleiman confirmed on Thursday the importance of maintaining distinctive brotherly relations between his country and Saudi Arabia.Saudi Arabia's aid record to Lebanon is overwhelming with many grants and soft loans, as well as private deposits that boosted Lebanese currency (pound), President Suliman said in a statement to Aliwaa Newspaper after offering condolences to the Saudi leadership over the passing away of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.He stressed his keenness to maintain solid relations with the Kingdom, noting that Saudi Arabia has always stood by and extended a helping hand to Lebanon during times of difficulties.President Suliman praised the late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi leadership for supporting the Lebanese army as well as reconstructing tens of Lebanese villages that were hit and damaged by the Israeli aggression in 2006.
