Greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, have been conveyed to the Swiss President, Alain Berset, by Bahrain’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Dr. Mohammed Abdulghaffar.

The envoy conveyed the leadership’s greetings during a ceremony held in honour of the heads of the diplomatic missions to Switzerland, marking the New Year, 2018.

The ambassador expressed hope that security, stability and peace will prevail all over the world.

Dr. Abdulghaffar also held a meeting with Switzerland’s State Secretary and Head of the Directorate of Political Affairs of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Pascale Baeriswyl.

The meeting reviewed the friendship Bahraini-Swiss relations, and ways to bolster and strengthen them.

The two sides stressed the need to activate the memoranda of understanding and agreements signed between the two countries on the sidelines of HM King Hamad’s important visit to Switzerland in May, 2016, which, they said, will contribute to enhancing bilateral ties and meeting the expectations of the two friendly peoples.
