Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared that his country opposes west unilateral sanctions against Iran. In a live talk with three radio stations; ' Russia', ' Russian Voice' and ' Ecomoscow' , Lavrov pointed out that imposing unilateral sanctions will not help solve Iran problem. He added that after we reach an agreement in the UN Security Council about Iran, the western partners impose unilateral sanctions and create disunity among the UNSC members. Lavrov underlined necessity of settling Iran's nuclear issue through negotiation and called for restarting talks between Iran and Group 5+1. Denying west claims about Iran's administrative structure, Lavrov said that Iran is a country with full democratic system. He added that in Iran, contrary to some neighboring countries, elections are held democratically. Lavrov concluded that there are friendly relations between heads of the two countries.
