Islamic Republic of Iran's Majlis Speaker (Parliament) Ali Larijani, heading a delegation, left Ankara for Konya city in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey on Friday. Parliament speaker is going to visit Iranian poet Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (Molana) mausoleum in Konya city. Larijani, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Ankara on Wednesday at an invitation by his Turkish counterpart Cemil Cicek. So far, Iranian parliament speaker has held talks with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his counterpart on various topics including expansion of regional cooperation, current developments in Syria, Iraq and Palestine. Larijani also participated at a press conference in Iranian Embassy in Ankara and at the end of his meetings with senior Turkish officials on Thursday.
