
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said today that he has held constructive talks with his Serbian counterpart Nebojsa Stefanovic and the leaders he met foremost of whom were President Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Ivica Dacic. In a pre-departure statement he gave a Belgrade airport after concluding an official visit to Serbia, Larijani said his talks dealt with means to strengthen and activate bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop cooperation in economic, trade and investment sectors. He expressed the hope that relations between Iran and Serbia we see during the next phase a qualitative leap accompanied with a rise in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries . Larijani ‘s visit to Serbia came as part of a tour which will also take him to Croatia where he will discuss the possibilities of growth and development of economic relations of cooperation with Croatia, newest members of the European Union.
