Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that the governments in the region must exercise vigilance to thwart conspiracies of the world arrogance. He made the remarks after meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Ankara. Pointing to arrogant powers’ plots in the region, Larijani said regional countries must take care of the Islamic Awakening movement not to be deviated from its right path. He said that Turkey is a friendly and brotherly nation for Iran, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on expansion of economic and political relations with Turkey. Davutoglu pointed to the regular consultations underway between the two countries and expressed hope that the consultations would help resolve the regional crisis and expand mutual relations. Larijani, heading a high ranking delegation, arrived in Ankara last night at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Cemil Cicek. Meanwhile, Larijani is scheduled to hold talks with his Turkish President President Abdollah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an. Majlis speaker will discuss with Turkish Speaker of Parliament Cemil Cicek on ways to expand mutual political and economic relations and regional and parliamentary cooperation in the international arena.
