
The Minister of Labour Eng. Adel bin Mohammed Faqih, received here today the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Wadewell Krishnamurti. During the meeting, Eng. Faqih praised deep-rooted and historical relations and friendships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka. The two sides agreed on the second phase of the talks on the bilateral agreement between the two countries with regard to recruitment, and discussed the situation of Sri Lankan workers in the Kingdom, and ways of future cooperation in the areas of work and workers. For his part, the Sri Lankan Ambassador expressed his appreciation of the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to extend the deadline for violators of labor regulations to correct their situations in the Kingdom until the end of the current Hijri year.
