Many Kuwaiti eligible voters headed to ballot on the 2013 Municipality Council elections . The number of voters who are eligible to cast their ballots amounts to 178, 887 and 205,342 voters. The voters are competing in the elections to vote for 61 candidates who are distributed over the constituencies. The parties concerned in Kuwait such as the Ministries of Education , Information and Kuwait Municipality have taken all necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of the electoral process. The Municipal Council is not less important than the National Assembly (parliament) so eligible voters are required to flow to polling stations in order to choose highly qualified members who can push forward the development process in the country.
