Manuel Bessler, a diplomat, told KUNA on the eve of his departure to Kuwait that the meeting is of paramount importance in dealing with the Syrian crisis from a humanitarian perspective and to cope with the scale of the tragedy in Syria, especially since it will include UN agencies, donor countries, and civil society organizations. The official stressed that the Syrian crisis is worsening in light of the escalation of violence that kill a large number of people coupled with grave human rights violations. Bessler pointed out that the conflict has gone out of control and extended to ethnic minorities.
