
Chief of General Staff of the Armed forces of Turkey (TSK) Necdet Ozel upon the reception in the Kosovo Presidential Cabinet said that Turkey will support Kosovo on its way to NATO, EU and all other international missions. President of the Republic of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga on Tuesday received a delegation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey led by Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Army, General Necdet Ozel. Kosovo president thanked General Ozel on continued Turkish support to citizens and institutions of Kosovo in all areas, especially in the security area, said a statement announced by the presidential cabinet. Jahjaga emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Armed Forces of Turkey and Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) to peace and general stability in the Balkans and wider region. She has highly valued professional assistance that the Turkish military has offered to KSF. General Ozel has expressed commitment to deepening cooperation between the KSF and Armed Forces of Turkey for the general safety of the Balkans which has an impact on global security. Kosovo's president, who is also the supreme commander of the KSF, has expressed willingness for KSF participation in the international missions. KSF commandant General Kadri Kastrati also received General Ozel with the delegation on Tuesday morning. General Ozel is in his Balkan tour which lasts from 7 to 11 October.
