King Salman congratulates Trump on US elections win

King Salman ben Abdel Aziz of Saudi Arabia congratulated on Wednesday Donald Trump for winning the US presidential elections and becoming the 45th president of the United States.

"I am pleased to send you, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in my own name, the best congratulations and wishes of good health and happiness for you and further progress and prosperity for the friendly people of America", the king said in a cable.

"I wish you every success in your mission to achieve security and stability in the Middle East region and the world as a whole", the king was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency as saying.

King Salman praised the deep-rooted close relations between the two friendly countries, saying everyone is looking forward to developing these relations in all fields for the interests of the two countries.
