King discusses with US delegation bilateral ties, region

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday, discussed with a US Congressional delegation led by Michael Conaway, Jordanian-US ties and friendship as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
During the meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, His Majesty said Jordan is keen to boost relations with the United States and voiced appreciation of the support provided by the United States to Jordan in all fields.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with the challenges facing the region and its countries, mainly the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Conaway and the accompanying delegation expressed their appreciation of Jordan's pivotal role under His Majesty's leadership to deal with regional crises.
The meeting was attended by the Royal Court chief, the director of the King's Office and the US ambassador to Jordan.
