Khazaee hopes for a constructive role by Annan in Syria

Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaee met and conferred with the UN Special representative in the Syrian affairs Kofi Annan. After the meeting, Khazaee said that he and Annan discussed the latest regional developments particulalry those pertaining to Syria. He hoped that the UN envoy could play an influential role in the Syrian developments. Khazaee also noted that the most important thing about the meeting was that he observed Annan’s sincere will to deal with the Syrian issue independently, far from any partiality.
