
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived Tuesday in Amman on a three-day visit during which he meets with Jordanian Monarch King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Kerry is also due to meet the Arab ministerial delegation, which was created in line with a decision by the recent Arab summit in Doha. The delegation is headed by Qatar and includes Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby. The U.S. official held phone talks on Friday night with Abbas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah, informing them of his visit to the region.
