
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will have a new meeting in Brunei on Wednesday evening, at the USA's suggestion, a source in the Russian delegation told Itar-Tass. "The meeting is expected after the gala dinner," the source said. When asked why the top diplomats of the two countries had begun to meet more often, the official said "it appears that the United States feels the need to maintain regular dialogue." Lavrov arrived in Brunei on Wednesday to attend, at Russian President Vladimir Putin's instruction, the 8th East Asia Summit. The previous meeting between Lavrov and Kerry took place on the sidelines of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Bali on October 7.
