
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Friday congratulated Giorgi Margvelashvili on his election as president of Georgia. "I'm sure that bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Georgia will continue for the well-being of our peoples with the spirit of mutual trust and respect," said Nazarbayev in his congratulatory message. The Kazakh president has joined his counterparts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Estonia and Turkey, who have so far congratulated the Georgian president-elect. An inauguration ceremony for Margvelashvili has been slated for Nov. 17.
