Amman - Arab Today

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh on Sunday discussed with his Bosnian counterpart Igor Crnadak, bilateral ties as well as the latest regional developments, Petra News Agency reported.

The two ministers stressed their keenness to forge closer political, economic and cultural ties in the interest of both peoples. They also highlighted the need for continued coordination to bring about peace and stability in the region and the Balkans.

Judeh said Jordan supports Bosnia's efforts to achieve peace and enhance religious co-existence in the Balkan region.

The Bosnian minister affirmed his country's appreciation of Jordan's supportive stance towards Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as the Kingdom's commitment to supporting international resolutions related to achieving peace in the Balkans.

He also praised the role of Jordanian peace keepers in restoring security and stability in the Balkans in general, and in Bosnian in particular.

Judeh and Crnadak also discussed the Palestinian issue and stressed the importance of re-launching serious and effective negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They also reviewed the latest developments in Syria and efforts to achieve peace in the country as well as international efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.
