
King Abdullah II of Jordan met with US Secretary of State John Kerry in New York last night on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings. Talks during the meeting covered latest regional developments, especially the Syrian crisis and the Mideast peace process. The Jordanian monarch underlined the need for a comprehensive political solution for the Syrian crisis in order to stop the suffering of Syrian people and put an end to the conflict and the danger of the chemical weapons. For his part, Kerry briefed King Abdullah on the efforts made by the US administration to achieve a real progress in the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.
