
Jordan's government condemned on Wednesday the Israeli government approval of building 1,500 housing units in Jewish settlements in occupied Jerusalem. The Israeli decision is wrong, unacceptable, directly threatens the peace process, and challenges decision made by the International community, Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and government Spokesman Mohammad Al-Mamoni said in a statement. The spokesman reiterated the international community rejection to settlements as unlawful, and forms an obstacle to peace and the two-state solution. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar approved the building of 15,000 new housing units. Israel official Radio said that Netanyahu and Sa'ar agreed also to establish two new tourism projects, one near the walls of the old town of Jerusalem and the second in the occupied Jerusalem
