Search and rescue teams believe they've found the wreckage of an Air Self-Defense Force jet that went missing in southwestern Japan.
Japan's Defense Ministry said that debris was spotted in a mountain valley. Six people were found nearby showing no vital signs, according to Japan's (NHK WORLD) radio.
The plane with six crewmembers disappeared from radar shortly after it took off from a base in Kagoshima Prefecture on Wednesday.
Defense Ministry officials said search and rescue crews first spotted the debris on Thursday about 10 kilometers north of the base.
