Japan presents aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan

Japan's foreign minister Fumio Kishida announced that his country will increase its aid  of $ 120 million to help the Jordan government  deal with repercussions of the Syrian  crisis. Following his visit to Zaatari  Syrian Refugee Camp, Kishida said that Japan has offered the same assistance to the Syrian Refugees last year.  He noted that Jordan received 560000 Syrian refugees a matter which posed new challenges and consequences outweighing the Jordanian government power. For his part, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres said there are many challenges facing the humanitarian organizations and the Jordanian government regarding  the provision of appropriate services for refugees  especially in the areas of water supply, maintenance and provision of security . Meanwhile,UNICEF Representative in Jordan Dominique Hyde spoke about the services and achievements carried out by UNICEF in collaboration with the Jordanian government and humanitarian organizations in order to provide educational support and mental health to the Syrian refugees.
