Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, said on Monday that the US can not cover up 99 percent opposition to it both inside and outside, using military warfare, media campaign and the economic and financial pressures. He told reporters that Wall Street movement is a symbol of 99 percent opposition of the global community against the US government which has currently spread to New York streets. He said the main question the people worldwide and in the US in particular, are asking is why one percent should decide for 99 percent world population, using military warfare, nuclear arsenal and economic levers. Referring to recent anti-Iran scenario of the White House that Iran hired a Mexican drug cartel to kill Saudi ambassador to Washington, he added that the scenario is a software reaction of the US government to the protests of the US people, aiming to divert public opinion under security pretexts. “The US should know that it would not rid itself of the internal and external crises facing it, using the absurd and false threats and raising security atmosphere.' He stressed that arrest of hundreds of people for participation in public protests and fabricating the anti-Iran scenario to divert public opinion of the US people under security pretexts are two complementary hardware and software moves of the US to get rid of the crises. He added that the use of such tactics by a power such as the US, which is also suppressing public protests, with an aim to get rid of the internal and external crises is a sign of extreme weakness, desperation and clinical health degradation of the superpower. Jalili opined that the US can not cover up its terrorist crimes using means of power and misleading public opinion in the world, especially in the region. The world can not turn a blind eye to the US terrorist crimes. He said the US is the main body charged with terrorism and the record of its government is a terrorism record to the extent that it can not cover up background of its terrorist behaviors by escaping forward. Referring to developments in the region in the past half a century, especially the past ten years, and signs of the US terrorist activities, Jalili said the US’ evasion forward can not prevent its prosecution and its recent claim provided a means to hold it accountable while it is escaping forward. “Evidences of the US terrorism activities are not illusions, rather based on realities; we presented evidences of connection of the US intelligence agency with leader of a terrorist group which claimed lives of our 400 Iranians to the UN secretary-general last year; we have also officially informed the US government of the issue through Swiss Embassy.” He stated that the US terror network has targeted scientific and distinguished figures in the Muslim World over the past two years. “The figures being obstacle on the way of the US intervention and opposing the US policies always fell victim of the terrorist attacks.” Jalili asked, “What a sort of connection is between the US and terrorist groups that put anybody, opposing the US policies, the target of their terrorist activity? The main question on part of the global community is why and how the US and terrorists share common objectives? Why the people, boycotted by the US administration, is assassinated by terrorists? What a connection is between the US and terrorist trends to the extent that both target Quds force? What a relation is between the US and regional dictators such as Saddam and Mubarak that both targeted Quds force?” Jalili said campaign against the US is major part of Iranian national solidarity as well as regional solidarity and Muslim Ummah solidarity as manifested in two conferences on the Islamic Awakening and on Support for Palestine. He then referred to the US list of terrorist activities, calling for the International Criminal Court to bring to justice the US officials responsible for crimes against humanity.
