A large group of protesters held on Saturday evening a demonstration in Sarachane Park of Turkey's Istanbul city to protest the massacre in Egypt against anti-coup demonstrators and the recent chemical weapons attack in the Syrian capital of Damascus. Organized by Human and Civilization Movement and some other NGOs, protesters gathered in Istanbul's Sarachane Park for the rally to take the world's attention to the massacres in Syria and Egypt. They chanted slogans such as "Thousand of salutes from Istanbul to Egyptian resistance," "Salutes to Ikhwan, keep on resistance," and "Salutes to Morsi, keep on resistance," also making the Rabaa sign. Besides, a cinevision show displayed on giant screens the speeches of Mohamed Morsi, the first democratically elected president of Egypt. Protesters also carried posters of Hassan al-Benna, murdered founder of Muslim Brotherhood, Sayyeed Kutub, Egyptian writer hanged by the regime, and Mohamed Morsi with messages under each of them saying in Turkish, Arabic and English "You slaughtered him, hanged him, we will not let you kill him" and other placards writing "Innocent people killed not by bullets of villains but by silence of ummah." It was remarkable that demonstrators wore Rabaa t-shirts and bandanas with Rabaa sign in Sarachane Park decorated with Turkish, Egyptian, Syrian and Palestinian flags and Rabaa pennants along with a giant Rabaa balloon. Meanwhile, organizers of the protest reminded that a signature campaign was launched to change the name of Sarachane Park into "Adawiya Square of Freedom," and announced that they will make an official appeal to theIstanbul Metropolitan Municipality to name the street of the Egyptian Consulate General in Istanbul as "Asma al-Beltagi."
