
There are current consultations and preparations for holding a conference on Palestine's children in the second half of 2017 in Kuwait, Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran said.
The Foreign Ministry are working on preparing for the conference upon the directives of HH the Amir, Al-Ajran told reporters on Wednesday on the sidelines of participation at a festival by the Palestinian Embassy marking the 28th anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)
The conference will shed light on the suffering of the children in the occupied Palestinian territories (OPTs) he said, expressing Kuwait's concern over the flagrant violations committed by Israel in these territories. He affirmed Kuwait's full support for all steps taken by the Palestinian government to retake its territories.
For his part, Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub lauded the development of the Kuwait-Palestine relations on all levels and in all fields, adding that there are continued contacts and coordination between the two leaders
He also extolled trade and economic relations between the two sides, stating that Palestine's exports to Kuwait rose from $ 3 million in 2014 to $ 12.4 million at the end of 2015.
The Palestinian National Council issued the Declaration of Independence on November 15, 1988, in Algeria, KUNA reported.
