Israeli soldiers Wednesday arrested 12 Palestinians after raids targeting Bethlehem, Jenin, Hebron and Jerusalem, according to security sources. Palestinian police said Israeli soldiers arrested five Palestinians after raiding neighborhoods and rummaging through several houses in Bethlehem. Security sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers arrested another Palestinian after raiding his family house and tampering with its contents in Jenin refugee camp, north of the West Bank. Israeli soldiers arrested a Palestinian in Surif, a town northwest of Hebron in the southern West Bank, as well as another in Sair, a town northeast of Hebron, and took them to an unidentified location, added the sources. In addition, Spokesman of the National Committee Against the Wall and Settlement in Beit Ummar, Mohammed Awad, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinians in Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron. Awad reported that Israeli police used police dogs in searching Palestinian houses, and ransacked them. Police also said that Israeli forces raided and inspected several houses in the city of Hebron and the nearby village of Edna. In Jerusalem governorate, Israeli forces raided Beit Iksa, a village northwest of East Jerusalem, and arrested two Palestinians, taking them to unidentified locations. Israeli soldiers completely closed down and isolated Beit Iksa for three days earlier this week, in search of a suspect in the stabbing attack that injured an Israeli man in Ramot settlement in East Jerusalem on Saturday evening.
