Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki met here Monday with visiting Iran''s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, and his accompanying. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties and ways of cooperation in various fields. Salehi emphasized his country''s readiness to cooperate in resolving all outstanding problems between the two countries, particularly the water issue where the two sides agreed to form a joint committee of specialists to reach a bilateral agreement to establish specific mechanisms to address this issue. The Iranian delegation also expressed its readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the field of electricity and to activate trade cooperation between the two countries.
