Iraq affirms support to Egyptian government, people

The Iraqi government on Tuesday affirmed its support of Egyptian people, as well as the government in its quest to impose security and peace in that country. Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari affirmed, in a phone call to his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmy, his government stance in favor of Egyptian people and government in bringing peace and stability to Egypt. Also, Zebari asserted Iraq's keenness and faith in Egypt to exit from current crisis, rebuild trust, stop bloodshed, and start a national dialogue with all Egyptian parties, as well as political and national powers in order to implement the roadmap, Iraqi Foreign Ministry noted in a statement, of which KUNA received a copy. In addition, the two sides discussed developments of Egyptian crisis and Iraq's stance towards latest events in Cairo.
