Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Oman's Sultan Qaboos discussed the bilateral ties between the two countries and the latest developments in the region during a phone conversation on Saturday. During the phone talk, the Iranian president congratulated the Omani leader and nation on the advent of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). Further in their phone conversation, the two leaders also underlined expansion of all-out ties between the two countries. Ahmadinejad and Sultan Qaboos expressed the hope that present developments in the region would reinvigorate the Islamic Ummah (nation) and consolidate the brotherly relations among Muslim states in the interest of their nations.
