Thai scholar Farid Diodino said the Iranian nation could easily overcome West sanctions. In an exclusive interview with IRNA on Saturday, he pointed to Iran’s high capacities in confronting and overcoming West’s pressures and said it was natural for countries like Iran to seek to generate energy sources other than electricity due to the high price of such fuels in world nowadays. As a member of Thailand’s Society of Islamic Studies, he said the western countries are scared that Iran will gain even more power in the region after developing nuclear energy and then would challenge West’s interests in the region. The scholar also noted that the US and other western countries have no way other than yielding to the fact that making use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is Iran’s right, stressing that based on international treaties, all countries are entitled to use nuclear power as a clean energy source and no one could stop them. He further said the crash landing of the US drone by the Iranian experts proved Tehran's efficiency and skill in cyber wars. Iranian experts showed their enemies that they are capable of confronting them in this area as well, he reiterated.
