
Rapporteur of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said the commission is slated to visit the nuclear enrichment facilities in Fordow and Natanz. Naqavi Hosseini said on Sunday that the parliamentary body, which visits nuclear facilities in the country on a periodic basis, will visit the Natanz and Fordow enrichment plants in central Iran on Monday. During such visits, the parliamentary delegation is to briefed on the activities going on in the nuclear facilities and looks into the issues there, said the Iranian lawmaker, press tv reported. In August, Former head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoun Abbasi Davani said that Iran has a total of 18,000 centrifuges, 10,000 of which are currently running. “Nearly 9,000 centrifuges at Natanz enrich uranium below five-percent grade and more than 700 centrifuges at Natanz and Fordow enrich uranium to 20-percent level simultaneously,” Abbasi Davani added.
