Tehran - QNA

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Araqchi has urged all parties in Egypt to exercise restraint and refrain from violence. “The Islamic Republic of Iran is closely following the developments in Egypt, expresses sorrow over the killing of a number of people in recent days, and calls on all Egyptian sides to exercise restraint and avoid violence,” Araqchi stated on Saturday. The spokesman further expressed Iran’s deep concern over the outcome of crisis in Egypt. Araqchi also urged all organizations and bodies as well as national and Islamic figures in Egypt to respect the national unity, people’s basic rights and the democratic procedures to pave the way for dialogue and national reconciliation leading to formation of a civil society.
