Interior Ministry has instructed the security services to work out a plan for protecting foreign embassies and key facilities across the country during the holiday of Eid Al-Fitr. In a statement, the ministry said that the plan must ensure tightening up the security measures at the embassies - particularly those of western countries, sea and airports, and other facilities of strategic importance as well as the oil pipelines and power grids. The plan envisages stricter inspection and search operations at the checkpoints particularly at the entrances of the key cities in order to bar entry of armed elements, it added.
