Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to pay an official visit to the Iranian capital later this month, Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Mahmoud Vaezi said. "Simultaneous with Erdogan's visit to Tehran, the Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Commission is also scheduled to be held in Tehran," Vaezi, who is also the head of the commission, said. The Iranian minister further added that he is to travel to Ankara on Monday to lay the groundwork for Erdogan's trip and arrangement of the two countries' joint commission meeting in Tehran. Iran and Turkey have increased their cooperation in various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture in recent years. The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months.
