Two people were killed in the explosion of a combat grenade at a furniture-making factory in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital, on Wednesday, the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass. “According to preliminary police reports, foreman of a furniture-making company Vitaly Prigozhin, 43, entered the office of the chief accountant and asked other people to leave the room, after that the explosion went off,” the Interior Ministry stated. The police reported that both people, including Prigozhin, staying in the room at the moment of the explosion died in the grenade blast. “It is already reported that Prigozhin owed around 100,000 som (around $2,000) to the furniture factory,” the ministry said. “It is quite possible that this fact caused his actions” that resulted in the grenade blast. “People, from whom the blast victim had bought the grenade, are being identified, though we do not rule out that this was a home-made explosive device,” the Interior Ministry noted.
