Greek president meets outgoing Qatari ambassador

Greek President Karolos Papoulias on Thursday met with HE Saleh Ibrahim Saad Al Kuwari on the occasion of expiry of his tenure as Qatar's ambassador in Athens. During the meeting, HE the ambassador conveyed HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's greetings and wishes of wellness to the Greek president and HH's wishes to the Greek people of progress and prosperity. For his part, the Greek president asked the Qatari official to deliver his greetings and wishes of wellness to HH the Emir and his wishes of progress and welfare to the Qatari people. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries. The Greek president voiced his appreciation of the Qatari ambassador's efforts to deepen bilateral ties during his term of office in Greece. For his part, the Qatari ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the Greek president, his government and the Greek people for the hospitality and care he received during his tenure in Greece.
