Governor of Jeddah province opens fist Saudi conventions, exhibition forum

Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah Province, opened here today the 1st Saudi Conventions and Exhibition Forum in presence of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), who is also chairman of the supervisory committee of the national program for conferences and exhibitions. The Forum aims to utilize international knowhow in the field of development of conventions and exhibitions, and highlighting the importance of this industry and its role in the economic growth in general and tourism growth in particular. The Forum also aims to develop the capabilities and enhance communication between the owners, organizers and suppliers of conventions' industry in the Kingdom in addition to boosting the volume of investment in the projects of conventions and exhibitions and raising awareness on this industry among the society members.
