Germany, following the US and the UK, closes its embassy in Yemen due to a threat of terror acts, Germany’s Foreign Ministry said on Saturday. The German embassy will be closed on Sunday and Monday for security reasons. The ministry does not quote any detailed reasons, which caused the decision. Earlier, the US Department of State warned the citizens travelling abroad about a potential threat of terror acts in August, especially in the Middle East and in Northern Africa. The Department of State informed it would not open on Sunday 21 embassies and consular sections in the Middle East countries. The UK’s diplomatic representation in Yemen will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
