President George W. Bush, "in high spirits" after heart surgery, left a Dallas hospital early Wednesday, a day after the procedure, his office said. Bush received a stent to relieve a blocked artery Tuesday at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. His office released a statement saying it was successful. "President Bush is in high spirits, eager to return home tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday. He is grateful to the skilled medical professionals who have cared for him," the statement read. President Bill Clinton, in Africa with his daughter, reached out to Bush, CNN said. Clinton also developed heart trouble after leaving office. Presidential press secretary Jay Carney said Obama "wishes Bush well" but had not been in touch with him.
