
GCC Secretary General ,Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani,participated in the ministerial meeting of Friends of Yemen which was held in New York with participation of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom William Hague, Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Baker Al-Qirbi, the Representative of the United Nations Secretary General,Jeffrey Feltman, as well as Foreign Ministers of member countries of Friends of Yemen. Addressing the meeting, ,Dr. Al-Zayani said that Yemen had achieved important steps down the path of the peaceful settlement based on the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, referring to the beginning of the National Dialogue Conference with participation of all political and social parties and discussed a number of important issues. He noted that Yemen today is witnessing a difficult stage, requiring the continued support of friends, politically, economically in order to support and make a success to the political process and the completion of the final stages of the national dialogue.
