
A meeting was held here this evening between the GCC Foreign Ministers and the US Secretary of State John Kerry, in preparation for the upcoming summit between Their Majesties and Highnesses the GCC leaders and the President of the United States, to be held in Riyadh on 21st April.
The UAE delegation to the meeting was headed by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The meeting reviewed the GCC-US relations and the importance of maintaining regional security and stability. The two sides said they were pleased with the progressive relations.
The meeting also discussed latest regional developments, particularly in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Libya, as well as means to fight terrorism in all its forms. Also discussed were regional and international issues of common interest.
