Hamburg - Arab Today

The Group of 20 (G20) Summit begins today, Friday, in the City of Hambourg, Germany.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel hosts a number of key world leaders and decision-makers to discuss a range of issues which include climate change, trade and other major topics.

The agenda also features other contentious economic issues which put US President Donald Trump at loggerhead with other leaders attending the summit.

Trump will be facing isolation at the summit with leaders of the other big Group of 20 economies after deciding in June 2017 to withdraw from the 2015 Paris climate deal.

The G20 Summit will call in its final communiqué for a fast-tracked implementation of the 2015 Paris Climate Deal
