FSA 'disappointed' with international community for not ending Syrian bloodshed

Chief of Staff of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) General Salim Idris said on Tuesday that "We are disappointed with the international community for not ending the ongoing bloodshed in Syria." Joining via Skype in NewsHour programme on American PBS Television, Idris stated that the UN inspectors' report made "very clear that there's a war crime." "Assad is a murderer and there is a regime of crime that still rules in Syria. I don't think this step called the 'Russian initiative' which we face recently will have much chance. We are disappointed with the international community for not stopping the ongoing bloodshed in Syria. What can I say on behalf of the Syrian people and the revolutionary forces behind them?," he said. He noted that the Syrian people "are very frustrated because of what's going on and because the international community is not caring anymore about the victims but disregarding them." Idris argued that no-fly zone across Syria could be declared with the support of the US and the UN Security Council and in cooperation with the Western countries, stressing that it has become easier upon the latest report of the UN investigation team that confirmed chemical weapons use in Syria "on a relatively large scale." "They could protect themselves from long-range missiles", Idris claimed, "if a no-fly zone was established". "I guarantee that we will use all the aid we recieve for our soldiers and officers as well as for building the democracy and freedoms. It is out of question that we share the support and aid with the people called the 'extremists.' We neither support extremist groups nor exchange information, let alone giving them ammunition or arms," he added.
