A fresh round of Geneva talks on Syria will be launched on Wednesday, Director of the United Nations Information Center in Geneva Ahmed Fawzi said.
The round will kick off with a meeting between UN peace envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura and a delegation of the Supreme Commission for Negotiations, Fawzi added.
De Mistura is scheduled to hold two-day each separate meetings with various participants to the Geneva talks on the Syrian crisis, including representatives of the Syrian opposition groups and civil society organizations.
A delegation of the Syrian regime is scheduled to take part in the talks as of Friday.
The Geneva talks are aimed at ending a conflict that has killed more than 270,000 people and forced millions to flee their homes since it erupted in March 2011.
