
French President Francois Hollande held a meeting Wednesday with the Defense and National Security Council to follow up measures of fighting terrorism in the French territories.
The get-together also took up the French operations in Iraq's Mosul, according to the Elysee.
The council discussed support provided by France to the Iraqi and Kurdish forces participating in the war against Daesh terrorist group as well as offering protection and humanitarian aid to the civilians.
The meeting tackled also conditions in Syria and the need of resuming efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Aleppo which is besieged by the Syrian regime forces.
