
French President Francois Hollande held a meeting on Wednesday with the National Defense Council to discuss efforts to fight terrorism and overseas operations against Daesh militant group, the Elysee said in a statement.
The council made an assessment of measures taken after the latest terrorist attack in the country.
It lauded efforts by the French Intelligence and security forces in fighting terrorism.
The council also discussed developments in Libya and Syria.
