Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued Saturday a statement stressing its support for Spain's unity.
"Following the political developments in the Kingdom of Spain as a result of the declaration of Catalan independence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms its support of the territorial integrity of Spain, in line with Lebanon's position in favor of the unity of states and the cohesion of their political systems and constitutional institutions," the statement said.
"Lebanon urges the return of the political stability to united Spain in a way that will serve the interests and unison of the Spanish people," the statement concluded
