Kuwait - Arabstoday

The Iraqi government has said that some countries have offered to mediate between the country and Iraq to resolve an impasse on the Mubarak Al-Kabeer port project. Ali Al-Allaq, Secretary General of Iraqi Council of Ministers told reporters that suspending the Charter Seven that has been imposed on Iraq will help resolve many issues. Iraq is in contact with all the concerned parties. He added that the Iraqi prime minister is currently visiting China in attempt to elicit Chinese support. He added that some friendly countries have tried to resolve problems with the Kuwaiti side. Al-Allaq went on to say that the Kuwaiti side adamant stance is unreasonable and expressed hope that Kuwaitis would display better cooperation.
