
Minister of National Solidarity and Family Souad Bendjaballah said Friday the food aid will be distributed for the stricken families of the 5.1-manitude quake that hit Thursday Hammam Melouane (Blida, 50-km south of Algiers). In a statement to the press, on the sidelines of the loading of the humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees in Jordan, Bendjaballah underlined that "the humanitarian aid comprises meals and foodstuffs that will be distributed to the stricken families of Hammam Melouane quake," adding that executives of the Ministry supervised the operation on the ground. On this occasion, she said that "the solidarity operation for the inhabitants of the houses that were damaged in the quake will be launched as from Saturday in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Wali (governor) of Blida.
