FNC Speaker receives EC official

Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), received here today Andrea Carignani Di Novoli, Head of European Neighbourhood, Africa and Gulf Unit at the European Commission (EC).

Dr. Al Qubaisi discussed with the European official ways to enhance UAE's ties with the 28 EC member countries. She welcomed the visit of the EC delegation and praised the progressive relations in all sectors, including economic development, energy, environment and innovation.

Di Novoli emphasised the importance of holding regular meetings between Emirati and European parliamentarians to exchange views and share expertise on different global issues.

The meeting was attended by Abdul Aziz Al Zaabi, Second Deputy Speaker of the FNC, and Patrizio Fondi, European Union's Ambassador to the UAE.
